Step 1 - Consultation
We start with a free 30-minute phone consultation. This is your opportunity to ask questions and tell me about your organizing challenges. We will talk about:
- The space you want to organize
- Your goal for the space
- Your organizing style
- Your systems that are working
- Your systems that are not working
Most people find "What isn't working?" easier to answer. After all, that is why you called us! However, the answer to "What is working?" is just as important. It tells us what is your natural organizing style (yes, you do have one) and lets us know what your priorities are.
Step 2 - Assessment
Now that we have identified your goals and priorities, we schedule our first appointment to take a quick walk through your home. We respect your privacy - you only show us those areas of your home you want us to see. The objective of the walk-through is to assess your space and create an action plan and approximate timeline to achieve your goals.
Our assessment determines:
- The exact scope of the project
- How the space fits into your lifestyle
- Whether the space can be used more effectively
- The tools and supplies you have available
With this information we will create an action plan.
Step 3 - Implementation
Now that we have an Action Plan, we start the actual hands-on work. We want to make sure we meet your needs when scheduling our time together.
Our Action Plan includes:
- The number of sessions to accomplish your goals
- What we will accomplish during each session
- The length of each session
- Learning ways to simplify and to stay organized
We will not pressure you to throw away your things. We understand you have to be ready to let go. We gently encourage you to part with things you do not need or love, and will never use again, but the final decision is yours.
We will work with you side-by-side, one-on-one to create a space that fits your lifestyle. Our time together will be fun, hard work, enlightening, and sometimes even emotional, but you will not be doing it alone. Together we will fit all the pieces together, for the perfect space.
